I have placed an order for Inner Space or a related product. Has it been shipped
and when will it arrive?
A:
Phone, Web and Email Orders
If you placed your order by phone, the product(s) ordered will be shipped within
1 week of placing your order. If ordering a game add-on to be delivered by
email, it will be sent within 2-3 days of receiving your order. If you ordered
by email or through this website, you should have received confirmation of your
order via email within a few days. If you have received confirmation by email,
your order has probably been shipped and is on its way to you.
Orders Sent by Regular Mail
If you sent us an order by regular mail with a check or money order, we must
receive your payment before we ship anything. If you are in the U.S., it
typically takes 2-3 weeks for your order and payment to get to us by regular
mail. Canadian orders take 1-2 weeks and overseas orders can take 3-6 weeks to
get to us by regular mail.
Shipping Time Once we
receive your order and payment, we ship products out using the shipping method
you specified on your order. From the date we ship your order out, it
typically takes 2-3 weeks shipping time for U.S. customers, 4-6 weeks for
surface delivery overseas, 1-3 weeks for airmail overseas and 1-2 weeks for
Canadian customers. Products may arrive earlier than the ranges specified here
but we cannot guarantee an arrival date unless you choose to pay for priority
courier delivery (approx $22US for 2-day delivery to U.S. customers). We are
located in Canada so delivery to U.S. customers is delayed most by U.S. customs
at the border. Delay at U.S. customs is obviously beyond our control. If there
were no delay at U.S. customs, we would be able to deliver orders to U.S.
customers in about a week by regular mail instead of the 2-3 weeks it takes
currently.

message. If the package is not late by the shipping times listed
above, do not ask us when it will arrive. Where it asks for Full
Name on the form, type in the name listed on the order so that we

Q: I'm playing the shareware demo. Why should I buy the full
version?
A:
The demo is playable but very limited compared to the full game. The full
registered version has more ships, weapons, a Ship Factory to make your own, and
many other features detailed in the printed manual. There are cheat codes
available to make the game more fun, but they only work in the full version of
the game, not in the demo. If you want the full game, you have to pay for it.
If you order by credit card, we will give you a code immediately to enable more
features while you await the full package. The full package includes all ships
and weapons, Ship Factory, master disk, reference cards, and full-color manual
with strategy tips and information on designing your own ships. Click here

Q: Is it safe to
order by credit card through this website? How else can I order?
A:
Yes, ordering through our website is safe and the easiest way to order. Our
secure order form encrypts your ordering information before transmitting it to
us. Once your order gets to us, we cannot charge you for anything you do not
order. Another way to order with a credit card is to call 1-250-721-2206 with
your Mastercard or VISA ready. You can also fax a completed order form with
credit card info to us. Call us by voice before trying to fax us. When you order
with a credit card, we can give you a registration code within 1-2 days and send
product immediately. Allow 2-3 weeks for shipping.
If you don't want to use a credit card, you can order by check, cash, or money
order, but that takes quite a bit longer, depending on your location. You need
to send payment along with a filled-out order form to our office. We don't give
out registration codes or send product until we receive payment so don't fax or
email your order info if not paying by credit card. We don't accept COD orders.
We are located in Canada, so it typically takes 2-3 weeks for US or overseas
orders to get here by mail & another 2-3 weeks to send product back to you.
Q: I would like to design ships for the game. Can
SDi help me get started?
A:
Yes! We have recently created the Ship Builder's Kit, composed of the original
ship bitmaps for all Inner Space ships, an online help file with additional tips
on ship design, plus a greatly Enhanced version of the Ship Factory. All this
can be purchased for only $5 US+shipping. The original ship bitmaps can be used
as a basis for your own ship designs and demonstrate advanced techniques like
multiframed or transforming ships. The Enhanced Ship Factory that comes in the
Ship Builder's Kit is absolutely essential for making great-looking custom
ships, as well as sharing your ships with others or using the large number of
free downloadable ships from our Ship Gallery web page.

Q: Since I am not in the
US, can I order direct from SDi? If so, what is the price in my local currency?
A:
Yes, you can order direct from us from anywhere in the world. Our prices
are in US dollars because it is the most common worldwide currency. Since credit
card orders are processed in US dollars, the price in other currencies changes
with the US dollar exchange rate. If you need to know how much your order will

have a problem working it out, email us and we
will do our best to determine the cost in your currency. Keep in mind that
prices in local currencies are approximate because exchange rates fluctuate

Q: Since I am in Canada, can I order in Canadian dollars? If
so, what is the price?
A: Yes, you can order, but all credit card orders are
processed in US dollars, so we can only tell you the exact price in US dollars
and an approximate price in Canadian dollars. Our prices are in US dollars
because it is the most common worldwide currency. If you are paying by check or
cash, we can give you an exact Canadian price for that day. Regardless of
the payment method, add 7% GST to the total payable for any Canadian order. If
you wish to pay by check or cash, email us and
we will let you know much to send in a Canadian dollar check or cash, based on
the US dollar exchange rate that day.
Q: I love the sound
effects and voiceovers in Inner Space. Is there any way I could get the WAV
files to use on my computer?
A:
Yes! Due to great demand, we have assembled 2 sound collections for
users. One is a set of all original Sound Effects from Inner Space in WAV
format. The other is a set of all original Voiceovers from the game, also in WAV
format. The Sound Effects and Voice Effects collections are each ready to use as
replacements for dull Windows system sounds or anything else you might want to
use them for on your computer. The Voice Effects and Sound Effects packages are
each only $5 US+shipping and if you select that it be sent by email, there is no

Q: How do I download a
demo to try Inner Space?
A:
Just go to our download page and click on one of
the links to start the download. If prompted by your web browser, answer that
you wish to save to disk as inspace.zip. You need to then create a temporary
directory, put inspace.zip in it and unzip it. Run SETUP.EXE to install
the game. After installing, run the game and hit Alt-G to see the version
number. The full demo that you download might be older than the very latest
version. In such a case, download UPGRADE.ZIP from our download page to upgrade
to the very latest version of the demo. Read README.TXT after downloading for
further install instructions.
Q: The demo version I
downloaded won't let me play anymore. What can I do?
A:
If the demo won't let you play, it's because you have a very old version of the
demo. To fix this problem, download and install the upgrader from our download page. If you enjoy the demo, buying the full
version would be very cool. You'll get a much better and newer version of the
game with more ships, weapons, a Ship Factory and other great stuff.
Q: How was Inner Space
created?
A:
Inner Space was written entirely in optimized C and Assembly using standard
Windows graphics calls so that it should work on any computer with Windows and
proper, updated Windows sound and video drivers. Inner Space is the
fastest native app Windows game ever made, featuring full-screen high-resolution
action at 36-3000 frames per second and working on everything from a 386 to the

Q: I really like Inner
Space. What else has SDi made and what new products are coming?
A:
Before Inner Space, we made the Magic Screen Saver and the original After Dark
for Windows screen saver, which defined the screen saver genre. Operation: Inner
Space was our first game, breaking as much new ground in Windows gaming as After
Dark did in screen savers. For more information, read about SDi's product history. We have no
plans to make more games in the future. We have returned to our core business of
making Windows utilities.

Q: When is Lightning (the

Unfortunately, we canceled the Lightning project and are not making a sequel to
Inner Space.
